Top Makeup Items to be in Your Kit

Introduction to make up kit

Makeup has become a part of our fashion life style. However, getting a complete set of makeup items is not such an easy task unless you’re using it for business purpose. Sometimes you might want to go out wearing a makeup but you’re not up for a professional MUA doing the touch up for you or perharps you’re like me who just enjoys doing her makeup herself. It doesn’t matter what category you fall into, it’s just ideal to have certain makeup products. Harmattan is a great time for makeup cause it would last long on your face without getting soiled. Here’s a few items to be in your kit.

EYE PENCIL: As tiny and cheap this product may be it’s one item that should not be lacking in your kit. Wearing a makeup without having your brows filled is a crime you should not be guilty of.  An eye pencil serves the purpose of filling your brows as well as lining your lips and eyes.

CONCEALER: After filling your brows, a concealer helps to give it a defined look. Concealer can also be used for contouring and highlighting. One or two shades lighter than your foundation for highlighting and one or two shades darker than your foundation for contouring. So yes, you should have a kit containing one or two conceallers.

PRIMER: A primer is highly neglected makeup item, yet very vital in keeping your makeup in place all day.  Choose the right primer that is suitable for your skin type or seek guidance from a cosmetologist in deciding which should suit you better.

FOUNDATION: There’s no better way to give your face a good base than to use a foundation. Get the most suitable foundation for your skin type. It could be a liquid foundation, a creamy foundation or a full coverage foundation. Whichever one works for you just be sure to glam up that beautiful face of yours.

MASCARRA: Your eyelashes should be well pampered and attended to. If you’re not adding falsies then you should treat those lashes to some mascarra.

ILLUMINATOR: Since you won’t be going all out on the contour and highlighting game,  an illuminator is your friend. Applying it before your foundation would give your face a nice undertone. It would help give your face a glow that only it has the ability to.

COMPACT POWDER: A lot of people often skip using this. It gives your face a good finishing and should therefore not be skipped.

LIP BALM: A lip balm is more ideal for this season. Give your lip an appealing look with a balm of your choice.
