Nigerian IT Firm Launches Web Conferencing Platform

It is no news that Africa is taking steps towards the fast track of digitization. Indigenous IT organizations and individuals are making effort to create applications to cater for local needs in their various locations. Very few of these firms have recorded success as foreign counterpart of these applications seem to gain popularity and dominance in the market, probably due to certain factors as “Robustness”and “User Acceptance”.

Nevertheless, innovation in Africa is inevitable…

To this end, an IT organization with corporate office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State of Nigeria has introduced an incredible invention in the history of Nigeria and Africa at large.

I am talking about NZUKO

Nzuko is a browser based web application designed for e-learning, web conferencing, online meetings and collaborations. It is an Africa version of Zoom.

Africa

Nzuko allow users to setup and hold corporate meetings, webinars and classified broadcasts. It is allow other functions such as sharing of computer/desktop screen, audio and video files, slides, and can also serve as a messaging tool.

Users are free to edit their profile at will as to change their display name and profile picture as well as their password.

Isn’t is wonderful???

Exactly what we need during this lock down period…

For educational purpose, Nzuko has polling system which makes it efficient to engage students.

Like a conventional classroom, Nzuko has a virtual whiteboard for writing, drawing and annotation which automatically display back to the students at real-time.  With its breakout feature teachers are able to conveniently  group students into different breakouts for collaboration.

It also afford users to privilege to record events for future reference.

It is easy and straight forward to sign up to Nzuko.

The developers of Nzuko has not yet added a function to accept users feedback which I believe they will include soonest.

With this amazing software, Africa is taking the software development to the next level.

This is a wake up call to indigenous software developers and tech companies to create more software applications that will meet the immediate and local needs of the people around them. This will create awareness amongst people and also instill in the users trust for the firm or the developer as to accept other software products from them in the near future.

The site was launched on the 6th of May, 2020 and over 100 individuals and schools have signed up on the platform. I have myself…

If you have not had a feel of this software, kindly visit the WEBSITE and do so, its an experience you will not forget in a hurry…
