World Photography Day History

Photography is a greek word, combined by “photo” means “light” and Graphy means “Taking”. World Photography Day is also called – World Photo Day, and it was first celebrated on 19 August 1910. The day was decided to celebrate after an invention of a photographic process called “Daguerreotype” by Frenchmen Louis Daguerre and Joseph Nicephore Niepce in 1837.

Let us tell you, What is Daguerreotype? The daguerreotype was the first commercially successful photographic process (1839-1860) in the history of photography. Each daguerreotype is a unique image on a silvered copper plate. The daguerreotype process was accurate, detailed and sharp.
