Chelsea F.C. and Chelsea F.C. Women Makes UEFA Champions League Final

UEFA

Chelsea Football Club made their way into the UEFA Champions League Finals yesterday after a 2:0 victory against Real Madrid at Stanford Bridge. The club has made a remarkable achievement by having both male and female teams feature in the finals of The UEFA Champions League in the same season. The English side qualified with a 3:1 win on aggregate after securing a draw at Madrid.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were vastly superior to the most succesful side in Champions League history and went ahead on the night through Timo Werner midway through the first half after Kai Havertz had lifted onto the crossbar.

The Blues spurned a host of chances to kill off the contest after the break, only for England star Mount to seal victory with a neat late finish.

And so now the Champions League will see a second all-English final in three years, following Liverpool’s win over Tottenham in 2019.

Chelsea Football Club Women, formerly known as Chelsea Ladies Football Club, are an English women’s football club based in Fulham, England. Since 2004, the club has been affiliated with Chelsea F.C., a men’s team in the Premier League. Chelsea F.C. Woman made their way into the UEFA Champions League finals after a 4:1 victory against Bayern Munich at Kingsmeadow.  The team qualified with a 5:3 win on aggregate.

Boss Hayes was overcome with emotion, having twice taken Chelsea to the semi-finals where they lost to Wolfsburg in 2018 and Lyon in 2019.

Victory over Bayern means a remarkable quadruple is still feasible.

Wins over Tottenham and Reading in their remaining two Women’s Super League fixtures will ensure back-to-back domestic league titles.

Chelsea F.C. will be facing Barcelona F.C. Femeni at Gothenburg after a 3:2 victory over Paris Saint German (PSG)

The final will kick off at 21:00 CET on Sunday 16 May, 2021.

Both male and female teams of Chelsea Football Club will feature in the UEFA Champions League finals this year.

Go Team Chelsea!!!
