Asake Releases Debut Album ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’

After releasing hits upon hits, YBNL Singer, Ahmed Ololade, professionally known as Asake (a.k.a Mr Money), has released his debut album, which he titled ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’.

The album was released in the early hours of Thursday, September 8 and it had the guest appearances of Nigerian Grammy winner, Burna Boy and also American rapper, Russ.

The fast-rising singer was signed to Olamide’s record label, YBNL, on February 2022 and later got signed by Empire Distribution in July 2022.

Following the massive success of his ‘Ololade Asake’ EP earlier this year, the singer has been making waves in the Nigerian music industry with famous works like Omo Ope (feat. Olamide), Sungba Remix (feat. Burna Boy), and Palazzo (with DJ Spinall), among others.

The newly released album consists of 12 tracks which include some previously released singles like Sungba Remix (feat. Burna Boy), Peace Be Unto You and Terminator.

Other tracks in the album include Dull, Organise, Dupe, Muse, Joha, Nzaza, Ototo, Reason (feat. Russ) and Sunmomi.

The 27-year-old singer began his music journey at a very young age, showcasing his talent through several freestyle videos on social media.

In a chat with HipTV, the ‘Sungba’ crooner narrated his journey to becoming a YBNL-signed music artist. Asake said after he was told Olamide had decided to feature on his song, a deal was the last thing he expected.

He also disclosed his humble beginning of begging Olamide since 2020 to help him before he got the opportunity which made him top in releasing his singles back-to-back before releasing his incredible debut song.

Commending his new album, Mavin Record boss, Don Jazzy noted that the award for next rated and artiste of the year ahead 2023 should be given to him now.

He said: “Make them just give Asake Nexrated and artist of the year sef for 2023 already o.”
