When is Jamb Form Coming Out for 2020

Jamb form for 2020 is coming out in January 13th 2020 and Jamb Registration Closing date is February 17th 2020. Sales of Jamb form takes a few weeks. It is advisable you register in the second week of registration. It is not too early and not too late. Jamb doesn’t extend registration deadline these days; your best bet is to register on time.

When is Jamb Starting for 2020?

The Jamb Computer-based examination (CBT) will hold starting from March 14th to April 4th 2020. The Jamb examination for 2020 will take three weeks (21 days) to finish.

How To Register For Jamb 2020

1.  A personal e-mail address and phone number.

7. Payment for JAMB’s E-PIN and recommended novel can be done at approved centres, banks and NIPOST.

There will be no offline registration, as all the accredited CBT centres have been empowered for real life online registration.

Note: No candidate should register at any centre other than the accredited CBT centre and JAMB State office. Any candidate who is registered outside approved centres will be identified and disqualified.

JAMB 2020 Candidates Are To Get NIN

As Jamb 2020 registration begins, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that all candidates who wish to sit for Jamb 2020 should go and get NIN. NIN Stands for National Identification Number.

The reason to get Jamb National Identification Number (JAMB NIN) is to ensure the fingerprint/biometric and other details of a candidate are captured to check examination Malpractice.

How To Gain Admission With Jamb 2020

Many candidates fail to secure admission to study their desired course. This is not always because they had low score in Jamb or are not connected; but because they are not guided on how to gain admission.

You can gain admission no matter your Jamb 2020 score. Some schools accept you even if you didn’t put them as a first or second choice in Jamb. Many Universities and Polytechnics accept low Jamb score. The Jamb CAPS market place has also started recommending Jambites for admission.

You have a very high chance of gaining admission in 2020. But how will you make good use of these admission opportunities if you are not properly guided?

I have compiled the reasons many candidates fail to gain admission and what they should do.

Jamb Or School? Which Offers Admission

This is one question that took me time to answer. Some jambites believe that it is Jamb that gives admission. Others believe that it is the institution that offers admission. If I may ask, is it the institutions or Jamb that offers admission?

The answer is both. The school to a large extent compiles the name of candidates they have admitted. Then sends the names to Jamb for screening and approval. Jamb then uploads the admission lists to Jamb caps. Jamb also chooses those to be admitted based on Jamb score.

Now, it is the duty of Jamb to offer admission letter to all admitted candidates. Jamb regulates the admission process. There is a problem If your name is on the school admission list but you can’t find it in Jamb portal. Both Jamb and your school of choice are very important in the admission process.

How To Check Jamb 2020 Results

The Joint Admission and matriculation board releases result for Candidates days after the exam. Results can be checked online and via SMS.

If you could not see your result online, you may want to check again. All you need to do is visit Jamb portal and log in with your username and password (which you used to create Jamb profile); then click on check result in your profile, you can also check your Jamb result without logging into your Jamb account.

Jamb 2020 Admission Status

Jamb releases Admission lists. When you are finally admitted, you can then proceed to print your Jamb Admission letter. You can check your admission status on Jamb direct portal.

The normal Jamb result that you print out from a computer is not what you use for clearance and scholarships application. After Jamb date, other activities also follows.

Your University or Polytechnic of choice will require Origin clearance during physical clearance. Usually, Jamb sells scratch cards to enable you print Original Jamb result.

Universities And Polytechnics That Accept Low Jamb scores

If you score very low in Jamb, it is not the end of life. Also, it doesn’t mean that you cannot gain admission to study your desired course.

If the cut off mark for your school is too high, you can consider changing to schools that demand lower cut off.

Jamb has begun change of course and institution. For reasons best known to you, you may want to change your school and/or course of choice.

Back to the question, what next after Jamb? That’s exactly what I am about to teach you. Take a glass of water and let’s begin.

1. Check Your Score And Your Choice Institution:

Check your Jamb score and see whether it can take you to your choice of institution or not. If yes, good… But if no, go to number 3.

2. Check Your Course And Cut Off:

After confirming that you have crossed your school’s general cut off mark, the next step is to see whether you can be admitted with your score.

3. Consider Whether To Change School Or Course:

If your score is not enough for your first-choice school, then consider getting a change of institution form.

4. Be Patient:

After Jamb, there usually this zeal to go to school. And you are like, “my school should release admission list na”. Calm down so that your blood pressure doesn’t rise above normal.

5. Enjoy Yourself:

I know that so many aspirants will be on fast until their names are in the admission list. This is not necessary.

You are not the one to admit yourself. Therefore, “leave trash for lawma”. If you have done the necessary things, then forget that you wrote Jamb and continue with your life.

How Much Is Jamb Registration

The registration fee for the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination or Direct Entry is #3,500. However, some banks and centres still charge extra.

Novel For Jamb 2020

The Novel to be used for Jamb 2020 is Sweet Sixteen. Candidates are also, as usual, to pay Five Hundred Naira (₦500) to obtain the reading text.

Jamb Registration Centres

In line with the Board’s regulated registration exercise, only the accredited Computer Based Test Centres and JAMB States and FCT Offices will be allowed to register candidates. How to Register For Jamb

Jamb registration is in different stages. The first stage is to create your Jamb Profile. After Jamb profile creation, proceed to any approved Jamb centre or Bank to get your E-pin. Then the final registration at Jamb Centre.

What Is New About Jamb?

Jamb 2005 cannot be compared to Jamb 2019. Everything has changed about Jamb. The examination has successfully moved from the normal paper and pen method to Jamb CBT.
