The event took place at the University of Calabar Conference Center on Wednesday the 4th day of December, 2019.
This conference had its focus on “Youth Participation In Nation Building”. The issue was addressed by Hon. Paul Ajah who in his remarks said that all youth should endeavour to take active part in all the affairs that will better the country. He also said at all times, they should be found doing the right things and the skill acquisition is paramount for youths in this harsh economy, He added.
- Hope alive was taken by Mr Oyo Effiom
- Good Governance by Mr Kunle Lawal
- Patriotism by Dr. D. C Ename who said that it is of importance that our leaders show love, care and support to us. He also added that, as good citizens, it is also very important for us to support our leaders, pray for them and care for them in any way we can.
- Leaders and safety was taken by Director Of Fire Service.
- Mistakes that students makes was taken by Mr Great Ogban. In his speech, he said that the the common mistakes made by young people are: Thy avoid good opportunities like this one.
They do not take their education seriously because they believe that they can do anything to pass.
This event also featured the following:
- Spoken Words which was done by Worden Enya
- Poem by Isaac Daniels
- And a movie section titled “4th Republic”.
There was also a section for questions and answers which lasted for about 30-40 minutes helped the students and other participants there present to express their views, give their contributions and asked questions where they needed clarity.
This event also gave the students the opportunity to meet and interact with one another.
This event had in attendance, Prince Godswill Edward the founder of Prince7 Youth Development Initiative and the organizer of this event, Mr. Kunle Lawal, Hon. Paul Ajah, and so many other dignitaries.
