Nigerian/ J-Town rapper MI Abaga (Judah) has diversify in the entertainment industry into movie production. He played a part in the production of the first ever of its kind Nollyhood and Bollyhood movie: “Namaste Wahala”. He made his intentions known early 2019 when he posted on Instagram that:
“Boss mode activated this 2019. One of my goals this year that I’m gonna share is I’m going to produce a movie! Okay, now it’s out there! No going back!”
The movie featuring Richard Mofe Damijo, Joke Silva, Jude “MI” Abaga, Broda Shaggi, Osas Ighodaro, and Koye “K10” Kekere-Ekun.
The film’s lead characters, an Indian boy and a Nigerian girl who fell in love with each other, are played by Bollywood star, Ruslaan Mumtaz, and Ini Dima-Okojie. “Never thought that someday I would travel to Africa to shoot a film about a Nigerian girl and an Indian boy,” an excited Mumtaz writes on his Instagram page.
Indian filmmaker Hamisha Daryani Ahuka has released the official poster for her upcoming romantic comedy, Namaste Wahala — a love story that unites Nollywood and Bollywood for a Disney-esque romantic fairytale.
MI in his Instagram page expressed joy over the movie production.
The Movie opens in Cinemas on the 24th of April, 2020.
